Empowering Adolescent Girls

This project supported by UNFPA aims to empower adolescent girls in the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao district of Beed, by enhancing their health, social and economic assets so that they can fulfill their aspirations and exercise their agency to make informed and responsible choices in relation to their health and well- being and also demonstrate leadership within their community. This is being done by sensitising families and communities to create an enabling environment for girls to reach their full potential, equipping girls with information on physical, sexual and reproductive health and linking them to appropriate services, improving the skills base of girls by enhancing life skills and linking them to vocational skills. Under the project, 2000 adolescent girls would be impacted.
